• Hiking - In the heart of the Cascade Mountains, and edge of Alpine Lakes Wilderness there are thousands of miles of trails. Some of our favorite are Icicle Gorge Trail, Icicle Ridge Trail and Colchuck Lake. Stop at the Wenatchee River Ranger Station to grab trail maps and condition reports.

• Climbing - Grab your gear and guidebooks to find some of the most beautiful granite slabs around. Leavenworth Mountain Association has all the local climbing resources. If you are wanting to learn, reach out to Northwest Mountain School for instructions!

• River Tubing, Paddle-boarding, Rafting & Kayaking - Blue Sky Outfitters, Adventure River Tubing, Leavenworth Outdoor Center, Orion Expeditions, Wildwater River Guides and River Riders will all provide you a wonderful experience for a day on the water.

• Biking - Check out Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance website for all the most current updates on trail conditions and trail maps. Leavenworth Pump Track has loops of berms and rollers for those who like a paved course.

• Spend time in the early mornings at Waterfront Park along the water and the trails around Leavenworth Fish Hatchery and you will be greeted by chirping birds and various wildlife.

Being in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, Leavenworth is sure to see more than a couple feet of snowfall in the winters. With an average of around 100 inches of snowfall a year, you will see snow often last into March in the valley and July in the mountains.

Just to name a few - most popular is the Village of Lights (formerly known as Christmas Lighting Festival), where hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights turn the town into a spectacular site.
